This Massage IS NOT your typical relaxing spa massage;
However IF YOU HAVE NECK, BACK, SHOULDER, HIP, or LEG PAIN, THIS IS THE MASSAGE YOU WANT!!!
This Massage is an integration of relaxing Swedish massage, Deep Tissue massage,
Neuromuscular and Trigger Point Therapy, Massage Cupping and Active Isolated Stretching
that can be used in conjunction with Hot/Cold Therapy to maximize recovery,
improve range of motion and ease aches and pains.
Signature Massage sessions are done with the client nude while covered with proper draping.
120 minute session or longer is required for this treatment.
Active Isolated Stretching: The Mattes Method
The Mattes Method of Active Isolated Stretching is a myofascial release and therapeutic treatment for deep and superficial muscles, tendons, and fascia. The Mattes Method is founded on kinesiology laws of controlling the body's stretch reflexes while performing a specific isolated manual release of individual muscles and their proper fascial plane.
Active Isolated Stretching sessions are done with the client dressed in workout clothing but
can be done as part of the massage with proper draping.
Massage Cupping: is essentially the inverse of typical massage therapy. Massage cupping targets deep tissues by creating suction and lifting the skin over the muscles. Because of this upward suction and lifting of the skin and muscle, the blood vessels and capillaries expand. As the area receives a fresh infusion of blood, it is flooded with nutrients and oxygen that work to heal damaged and injured tissue. In addition, the blood carries away the accumulation of toxins, dead cells, and other debris that may be hampering healing and cause pain. As a result of better circulation, the tensed muscles, stiff tissues, knots and adhesions, relax, soften and become more pliable and flexible.
Fluid Massage Technique (FMT)
Fluidity or flow, of the massage is created by a never-ending contact and movement by the therapist. Through the proper use of body mechanics and table height, FMT uses the therapist's full body weight to deliver the technique and varied pressure.
FMT is medium to deep pressure work, but can be varied if lighter pressure is required.
FMT sessions are done with the client nude with minimal draping and
warmed 100% pure, raw coconut oil lubricant for maximum fluidity of the massage.
This is the ULTIMATE RELAXATION MASSAGE!
Neuromuscular & Trigger Point Therapy- NMT
Neuromuscular Massage Therapy is a specific soft tissue technique that is especially beneficial for relieving muscular pain caused by accident or injury. The NMT massage therapist seeks out trigger points (areas of local tenderness) that refer pain to another part of the body or ischemic areas (areas of spasm), then applies stroking, spreading, friction, and pressure to the muscles, fascia, tendons and ligaments, allowing them to “relax” so they can be gently stretched and mobilized thus changing the tissue from a “Ridged to Pliable” substance.
Any of our massage treatments can be employed with the use of our custom support body systems. This system allows the pregnant patient to be completely comfortable, even when laying face down. If you are pregnant, you will love this massage.
